BEING FRUGAL
There is definitely nothing wrong with being frugal, however I have
witnessed people that are down right stingy; e.g., afraid to spent a
dollar on things they do need and when they do purchase something, it is
about as cheap as you can get.
I have learned over the decades, "most of the
time, you get what you pay for" and there are exceptions
to the rule in my case being the purchase of a
John Deere
X300 lawn tractor, whereas every moving part of the deck was
worn out within 170 hours of usage requiring replacement parts. I have
one pulley on there that is worn badly and will replace it at the next
annual maintenance. For a comparison; I used a Troy-Bilt
lawn tractor for twenty-three (23) years and never had to replace a worn
part, other than routine maintenance items like spark plugs, oil
filters, etc.There is nothing wrong with purchasing the best that you
can afford either!
CURRENT INFLATION PROBLEMS
When Joe Biden took office in January 2021, gasoline price was then $
2.11 per gallon and has reached a high of $ 4.20 per gallon on May 12,
2022 and currently is $ 3.69 per gallon here in Anson County, NC.
With those increases in fuel price especially diesel fuel, shipping
costs have increased dramatically with said cost being placed onto the
backs of the consumer; Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public.
Just recently Wal-Mart increased the price of a gallon of Duke's
Mayonnaise from $ 15.57 to $ 16.57 within a two week period and several years back before the
last group of Demoncrats took
office and before the COVID-19 pandemic, the price was $ 8.00 per
gallon if I am not mistaken. Many food items has more than doubled
in price and my shopping cart quantity gets smaller and smaller with the
check-out price increasing to an alarming level. Some items I will
not scrimp on such as Campbell's Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken
Soup; the store brands are not as good in my humble opinion and I am
talking about our local Food Lion and IGA store brands.
I have learned that some of the store brand items are just as good as
the name brand ones and will use them when needed.
AMERICA IS WICKED
Many have complained as myself about what is happening in and to
America
with all the Government sponsorship of things that are definitely an
abomination in God's sight; e.g., abortion (the murder of unborn
babies), promoting homosexuality and trying to force such lifestyles upon every
citizen in America. The Rainbow Coalition is just one example of
Government sponsorship!
I didn't see a bunch of queers or fags aka
Biblical sodomites marching below the above
rainbow as viewed from our dining room/deck on 08-17-2023, of which God
created the rainbows. The rainbow is symbolic that God would not destroy the
earth again with a flood, but He will destroy it with fire:
Genesis 9:11 “And I will establish my covenant with you; neither
shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither
shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.”
Our Pastor/Bishop Sam Abee might call my language for the queers and
fags, "coarse communications",
but it is what it is!
Yes, America is getting a portion of what we deserve with all the chaos,
pandemics, turmoil
and inflation. God spared not Sodom and Gomorrah and we are no
different! Judgment is coming for sure.

PRODUCT REVIEWS ON LINE
When it comes to product reviews, I have become a
doubting Thomas because
many of the major distributors have alleged to do their own product
reviews to enhance their sales potential. I remember a purchase
from Home Depot that was several sheets of walnut plywood 2 x 4 feet and
advertised to be 1/4 inch (.250) thickness and it was a little over .200
inches in thickness. Also the first piece I removed from the
shipping package had the outside walnut veneer unglued and that layer
was about .020 inches in thickness if I am not mistaken. Home
Depot asked for a product review and I told them it was a piece of junk
and included a pix of the unglued panel. They emailed me back and
said my product review did not meet their standards and wanted me to
redo it. I told them something like,
"if you don't want the truth, don't ask for it."
VENTED ENOUGH
Now since I have vented
enough, I will get to one of the ways I have been forced to become
frugal and that is with the Wal-Mart brand bathtub suction cup cushioned
mat. In the past, I have cleaned the mats allowing the sun to help
bleach some of the "gunk"
that I missed trying to clean it. As stated earlier, before Biden
and the COVID-19, the mat price was around 6 to 8 bucks each and now is
over $ 12.00 dollars each.
I know I got off on a "rabbit trail",
but that seems to be my modus operandi and what I said, needed to be
said again!
BATH MAT IN USAGE
Pix above of the mat with several weeks of usage and the tub
definitely needs some scrubbing.
CLOROX SOLUTION USED
I had an empty container not being used and added a good amount of
Clorox with enough water to cover a couple mats.
I later used a couple bricks to keep the mats submerged in the Clorox
water solution.
FINISHED MAT
After soaking the mats a couple hours in the Clorox water solution, I
rinsed them and let them air dry. The mat is now clean and good as
new and ready to be re-used saving some money in the process. The
camera flash washed out the color some.
