BOYCE ADCOCK CHRISTMAS PARTY 2006For
many years, Boyce Adcock has hosted a Christmas Party and this year the
party was held at the Anson County Law Enforcement building on Blewett Falls
Lake, Pee Dee River, Anson County, NC on December 23, 2006.
Boyce will normally do numerous Boston butts and chicken quarters on his
home made cooker and start very early on the morning of the event of which
those Boston butts takes 8 to 12 hours to complete on his cooker using
charcoal. He does the old school style of BBQing running the cooker
temperature around 225 degrees F. and turns out some excellent vittles.
He uses a vinegar based mop sauce on his pork and chicken and offers you a
choice of either the Eastern or Piedmont style of BBQ sauce at the table.
I have spent the past few days gathering different events from archived
CDs and DVDs and creating the WebPages, whereby uploading the pixs and doing
the narrative, etc. Some of those pixs were taken back as early as
2002 so guess I am far behind but slowing catching up.........grin if you
must!

I normally take pixs of the entire operation, but apparently did not do
so this time or take any pictures of the Law Enforcement building, although
I have done so in the past.
VITTLES ON THE TABLE
Boyce will also do his signature baked beans which are outstanding and
baked pinto bean pie; don't grin, it is outstanding and a "beautimous"
clam dip and many
other things prepared by him.

I can't remember if there were door prizes and games but Boyce usually
has both.
Boyce Adcock suffered a stroke a couple few years ago and had to cut back
on his Christmas parties but he still puts on a wonderful party. I
have some archived pixs taken in 2002 and 2009 and will get around to
creating a Webpage for them in the future when time permits and the Lord
willing of course.
