Below pixs taken on Halloween October 31, 2000 being on a Tuesday.  However, on some of the pixs there is a file ID with Halloween October 31, 1999 but only a few and will include them.  My bride is the driving force for the majority of the outside yard decor and inside for the holidays, whereas I do the brawn stuff and she does the artistic and intellectual stuff.  The pixs taken were archived from a back-up CD and finally got around to web publishing them.   I did not have my website www.portercalls.com up and running in 2000.  Back in 2002, I had a webpage called Porter Family Pictures that our son Bill Jr., had sub folder for the pictures on his website www.mountainbikebill.com.  Sometime around 2007 or so with the help of Bill, we got my own website www.portercalls.com up and running when I started making custom turkey box calls.

We continued the outside decorations and parties until 2006 when my bride aka Joyce had a massive brainstem stroke and she has made an excellent recovery considering that type of stroke normally leaves a person dead and/or in a vegetative state.  With our Lords help, she has come a long way.  I still put up our Christmas yard decor and since 2006 have cut back about 1/3 or more on the amount of decorations, lights, blow-up figures, etc. but we still have it looking very nice and festive!

Whew, that was a long introduction and I sometimes get a little side tracked but that is just my MOO, manner of operation and must be a DNA flaw because it happens to regularly.....grin if you must!

A FEW PIXS TAKEN ON HALLOWEEN 1999

As evidenced by the pictures taken in 1999, this was probably our first Halloween party outside, mostly for the two East coast Huneycutt Grandboys.  Mary Lou and George Hodge, Laura's in-laws were present along with my Mom and Pop aka Bill and Ann Porter, Laura and Keith Huneycutt. 

When I was running the pixs through PhotoShop CS2 that were stored on a 2001 back-up CD, I noticed there were two different size formats and the 1999 pixs were no doubt taken from the first digital camera that I purchased which was an Olympus not much over 1.4 Meg. in file size.

HALLOWEEN YARD DECOR

There were plenty of small kids to enjoy the Halloween party with the following that attended:   Haywood and Sue Newton along with Brian and Lisa Newton and their kids, our neighbors Johnny and Pat Hildreth with their son Bryan and his wife Amy and their son Jason, Tom and Carolyn Kiker and their son Cody, my Mom and Pop aka Ann and Bill Porter, Wink and Rachel Myers, Laura, Keith, Travis and Trevor Huneycutt, Mary Lou and George Hodge.

In addition to hot dogs and the trimmings, my bride made a wonderful pot of her Chili and Beans which was "off the chain good."  There were plenty of treats for the kids trick or treat bags as well.

We had a great time Halloween 2000 and 1999 party and continued to do them until 2005, which was the last one we hosted due to my bride's stroke in September 2006.
