TUNA CASSEROLE
INGREDIENTS:
24 ozs. drained tuna
1 cup milk
2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup (10 ¾ oz can.)
2 cups cooked peas
4 cups cooked medium noodles (8 oz. package)
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons bread crumbs
Mix tuna, soup, peas, milk and noodles in a 3 Qt. Pyrex or equivalent oven
proof dish and place in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes.
Mix melted butter with bread crumbs and sprinkle over top of casserole and
bake an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.Below is pix of the tuna
casserole using regular macaroni elbows instead of noodles. Had plenty
on hand and needed to use up and also cut the recipe in half using a 8 inch
square Pyrex baking dish instead of a 13x9x2 baking dish. Used 3 cups
of cooked macaroni small elbows and added a sprinkling of salt and fresh
ground pepper corns to the mixture.
I don't remember where I obtained this recipe but it is a quick and
simple dish to complete.
