I will copy and paste a few pixs that are scattered through out this
website. Most of the time when you are behind the camera and don't
want to set up a tripod, you get left out on the Selfie pixs because most of
the cameras I have used over the years do not lend themselves to the current
Selfie pixs made from Cell phones and point and shoot small digital cameras.
For those that are in love with themselves, the Selfie technology is made
for you! Below some pixs from way back when:
Above pix probably between late 1946 and 1947 with yours truly on the
left and June Bowers
on the right.
I was checking out the camera lens on this pix taken when I wasn't much bigger
than a large bull frog about ready to "leap" off the end table.......grin if
you must!
Pix on the left was probably my senior year in High School 1964
Above pix of Mickey Porter in the back ground with a good image of
Grandma Coley's old home place and Doug Coley's two bird dogs; Jack on the
left and his son Fox on the right taken in the mid 1950s.
The above pix is one of my brides favorites.
Taken in Morocco, Africa in November 1966; a letter from home, cup of Java
and one of my favorite magazines, Fur-Fish-Game. Below a few pixs from my Navy days
taken while in Morocco, Africa:
Below pix taken on one of the beaches; maybe Medina Beach in Morocco,
Africa.
My bride did some editing on the pixs below with a pair of scissors and
made a collogue out of them...wonder what else was in those
pictures?..........grin if you must!
NOTE: The above background pix from August 1967 was badly
damaged by the acetate sleeves it was stored in. I ran it through
PhotoShop CS2 and cloned some of the damaged pixels which were very dark
black spots on the photograph. As I stated above, my bride made a
collogue out of it by adding some pixs I had of myself with other persons in
the pix, of which she edited with a pair of scissors....another grin is in
order. I worked out with weights as evidenced by the background pix.
I believe the photo was taken in mid 1966; however it wasn't developed
until August 1967 when I returned back to the USA from Morocco, Africa.
Mickey and Joyce Adcock in 1967 at the NC or SC beach, don't remember
which.
Bill Porter in the mid 1970s gluing up banjo resonator backs.
Four generations of Porters; pix taken May 2, 2002 in Rockingham, NC

The body has certainly aged over the decades but I still feel young in
spirit and mind and give daily thanks to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior
for his many blessings!
