WADESBORO CHURCH OF GOD YOUTH PIX 1980s
During the late 1970s and 1980s, my bride aka
Joyce Ann Porter was in charge of the
Wadesboro Church of God Children's Church and also headed up most of our
Church Programs; e.g., Easter, Christmas, Mothers Day and others.
Back then, I took pixs using a
35MM Nikon camera and used slide media, however my flash
unit was not nearly powerful enough to get excellent pixs inside large
rooms, etc., at that time such as our Church sanctuary
I archived most of my slides taken and later scanned them into digital
format sometime after the year 2000 and it was found that a large
quantity of my slides were slightly out of focus and really not usable due to through the lens
focusing and metering and with my eye sight not being perfect!
Since my retirement from the North Carolina Department of Correction in
2012, I have posted many of the pictures taken over the decades and
added them to this website in various pages as part of my personal blog
and for others to view as well.
With that said to reiterate, most of the pixs posted were taken in the
early 1980s when Pastor Avon Craven, now deceased was our Pastor, of
which he was a Spirit filled Pastor, very talented in Music and other
areas too.LETS GET STARTED
When Avon Craven was pastor, I believe we had forty-two (42) children
in Children's Church

Those pixs were taken over four (4) decades ago and time waits for no
one. Most if not all have children of their own and grand children
and some have great grand children.
PROVERBS 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
The seed aka God's Holy Word was planted in our youth those many decades ago and
many
have gone on to become productive citizens to obey and fear God and our
Church has done its part and we give the Praise, Honor and Glory to Jesus Christ our Lord and
Savior for His many blessings and salvation.
