Since my retirement from the North Carolina Department of Correction on March 1, 2012, I have gotten back into doing some woodworking and decided to add this page with some of the projects.  I have already completed a hanging porch swing and a custom banjo which are hyperlinked.

Check out my portable shooting bench page, of which I moved to my hunting stories page.

I am also including projects associated with woodworking, but would not be classified as a woodworking project.

My bride of fifty-six (56) years wants me to make her a custom letter box and/or keepsake box and doing small boxes, etc., presents some new challenges.  I already have a ninety (90) degree table saw sled and a forty-five (45) degree angle sled for things like picture frames, etc., but need a forty-five (45) degree crosscut sled for vertical orientation such as a drawer front.  I probably could do it on a miter saw, but the crosscut sled with the table saw blade angled to 45 degrees is the route I plan to take.

I will start this page off by making the 45 degree crosscut table saw sled and will have sub-pages from this page with each individual project as a separate page.  As with any type of skill, "If you don't use it, you loose it", therefore I will have to hone my woodworking skills and get the eye hand coordination working again.  Things are much different when you reach the Senior Citizen status as with our youth, but I am thankful for each and every day that our Lord allows.

PERSONAL SAFETY AND LIABILITY ISSUES

My goal will be to keep Safety paramount because hand and power tools can do serious bodily harm and death if not used properly, therefore these pages are solely for entertainment purposes only from a personal liability standpoint.  Please read the Legal Stuff page for additional information concerning liability issues before going any further.  Safety glasses and hearing protection is a must, although I do forgo the hearing protection many times; my bad!

Lets begin with the Forty-Five (45) degree crosscut sled for the table saw.

LEAVING ON A SPIRITUAL NOTE

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please take this moment to accept him by Faith into your Life, whereby Salvation will be attained.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Micah 6:8 “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
